My Children Use Tech in the Vehicle and I Don't Feel Bad About It

I see the looks from folks in their automobiles estimating me when my kids and I drive by in our minivan. The TV at the back is on and my children are immersed in their kid-friendly pills. One has got the Kindle for both kids and one other, who is elderly, uses my husband's older variant iPad. They have cans on which are synced with the television. So I do it. From the outside, it appears like I am a terrible parent that's stuffing displays in front of my children to keep them silent in the car. And in a way that is true, but there is a ton more to it than that.

What you do not see is that I am homeschooling my kidswhen it appears like they are rotting their brains screens in the vehicle they are actually learning. As I'm forcing them to action, clubs, sports, and play-dates they have been on their tablets working and reading online lessons. The TV is on, however it's streaming a lesson in Khan Academy on great composers so they are hearing music whether they've been doing homework. So while the outside environment is penalizing me for giving my kiddies screen time they're totally immersed in learning, perhaps not in poor quality entertainment.

Give Lessons

And exactly why do not I give these courses to do while they are in the car? A few days with traffic normally it takes me a while to get the older one to her soccer lesson. That is only two full hours of captive learning simply because they've to be in the car anyway. And that means that later on, they are able to spend two hours out playing with their friends rather than sitting in the front of the screen in your home because they already have their lessons done. If we're going to be trapped in traffic I'd rather have them engaged and busy doing job at the car where they cannot do much of anything else anyway. That is simply intelligent company and making the most of our time. And it teaches them to take advantage of their own time and use the opportunity and energy to their benefit.

Therefore spare me as well as other parents that the judgmental discusses stop signs and stoplights whenever you check out and watch that our kids with their heads over screens and earphones on. You don't know what they are looking at or what they are working on. There's far too much ruling in parenting circles nowadays and insufficient openness to research other ways to do things. Parenting isn't something which works based on a pair of rules. All of us have to find ways to accomplish what's most beneficial for our children and what fits into our own lifestyles. Ofcourse if you're inclined to talk to parents who do things differently in you then you will possibly grab some ideas and tips to get new methods to accomplish things yourself that may make your task as a parent easier.
